Nestled in the heart of Ohio’s Amish and Mennonite community in Holmes County, Simple Pleasures Bed & Breakfast offers its guests a gracious alternative in accommodations. The Shevlins' guests will be welcomed to their home with a traditional high tea served at 4:00 p.m. each day. Each evening enjoy turndown service with a complimentary glass of Ohio’s sherry or wine. Morning greets guests with a full breakfast, served in a simple but elegant setting. Enjoy family favorite recipes made fresh each day. You may choose to watch the Amish community going about their daily lives from the custom created gazebo at the guest wing entrance during daylight hours. Impromptu sing-along in the evenings are not uncommon as guests share their talents. |

Simple Pleasures Bed & Breakfast guests will enjoy a full day of activities within the Amish community. Nearly every mile of state and federal highway in Holmes County is designated as an Ohio Scenic Byway. Enjoy hours of shopping in nearby Berlin including antiques, country crafts, quilts, handmade furniture and more. The towns of Wilmot, Berlin, Kidron and Walnut Creek are all with a 20 minute drive. Sugarcreek “The Little Switzerland of Ohio" is a short drive and is one Ohio’s most visited communities. Amish and Mennonite restaurants abound and feature home style traditional cooking. A variety of homemade cheeses can be found in several local cheese shops. The Yoder Amish Farm offers a first hand look at life in the Amish community and the Behalt Interpretive Center should be on each guests list of “must see” sites. Behalt is an interpretive tour with a spectacular mural depicting the history of the Amish & Mennonite community history. See “ Area Attractions” page for more information on Amish Country happenings. |
